(2026.1.01聖靈的安慰)
要離開信仰的開端;一個人要成為聖潔完全;在信仰的道路上,必須不斷追求真理,追求神的公義;使屬靈的生命得以長大成熟,並結出聖靈的果子;
不要一直停留在起初信仰的階段;只吃奶是無法長大的,會使屬靈的生命停滯不前;那只想吃奶、不願意吃乾糧的人,好似只喜歡聽蒙神祝福的話,卻對悔改、脫去舊人的道理不關心;只想聽神的愛,卻不看重神公義的標準;只喜歡聽平安的話,卻不願聽神關於審判的提醒;
若只想吃奶、不願意吃乾糧的人,又如同在信仰的路程中,只願接受平順的日子、被祝福的日子,卻不願對付罪、不願潔淨舊的罪性,也不看重成為聖潔的重要;當遇到試煉時,只求神幫助與解決問題,卻不省察自己的信仰狀態,不願接受敬虔的操練,也不願順服神的旨意;切不可只看重物質界、屬肉體的恩典,而輕忽屬靈生命的得救;
以基督的道理為根基,使根基扎穩;並要啟程走成聖的道路,從屬靈的嬰孩長大成人,從起初只能吃奶,成為能吃乾糧的人;從對真理的認識,進入真正的明白,進而在神公義的道理上變得熟練,有實際的經驗,是經過操練、受過訓練的;
所以,只聽得救的恩典是不夠的;只有讀聖經、背經句,卻不明白神的心意,也是不夠的;乃是要從聽道理、讀聖經之中,仔細咀嚼主的話,思想主所留下的教導,其用意為何,又要我們學習的是什麼;使聖經的真理,神的話,與主的教導實際地活出在生命中;因為真理不是停留在背誦上,而是真實地被實踐,是刻在心中、成為生命的記憶;

Leaving the Foundations of Christ and Moving Toward a Mature and Sanctified Spiritual Life
(2026.1.01 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
We must move beyond the very beginning of faith. If a person desires to become holy and complete, they must keep pursuing the truth and God’s righteousness on the journey of faith, so that their spiritual life can grow, mature, and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Do not remain stuck at the earliest stage of faith. Living only on milk will never lead to growth; it causes spiritual life to stagnate. Those who only want milk and refuse solid food are like people who only enjoy hearing words about God’s blessings, yet have no interest in repentance or in putting off the old self. They want to hear about God’s love, but they do not take His standard of righteousness seriously. They like messages of peace, but are unwilling to listen to God’s warnings about judgment.
Those who only want milk and refuse solid food are also like people on the journey of faith who are willing to accept smooth days and blessed days, but are unwilling to deal with sin, unwilling to cleanse their old sinful nature, and do not value the importance of becoming holy. When trials come, they only ask God to help and solve their problems, yet they do not examine their own spiritual condition. They are unwilling to accept godly discipline and unwilling to submit to God’s will. We must never focus only on material and fleshly blessings while neglecting the salvation and growth of the spiritual life.
We are to take Christ’s teaching as our foundation and make that foundation firm. Then we must set out on the path of sanctification—growing from spiritual infants into mature adults, moving from only drinking milk to being able to eat solid food. We move from merely knowing the truth to truly understanding it, and then become skilled in God’s righteous ways through real experience—experience that comes from discipline, practice, and training.
Therefore, hearing only about the grace of salvation is not enough. Simply reading the Bible or memorizing verses without understanding God’s heart is also not enough. Rather, as we listen to the teaching and read the Scriptures, we must carefully chew on the Lord’s words, reflect on the teachings He left behind, and ask what He intends and what He wants us to learn. God’s truth, His word, and the Lord’s teaching must be lived out in real life. Truth is not meant to stay at the level of memorization; it must be practiced, engraved on the heart, and become part of one’s life.
Otherwise, a person may end up with only the outward appearance of faith while remaining spiritually immature. In an evil generation, such a condition easily leads to spiritual danger—being swept away by the current of the world and failing under the devil’s temptations. For this reason, we must leave the stage of milk and become people who can eat solid food and be nourished by it, so that our spiritual life can grow strong and continue to mature. By practicing godliness and obedience in the truth and gaining complete spiritual wisdom, we will not be easily shaken by circumstances, nor led astray by people or worldly trends, but will continue to walk steadily on the right path of faith.
Scripture
1 Corinthians
Chapter 3 Verses 1–3
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual,
but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat:
for hitherto ye were not able to bear it,
neither yet now are ye able.
For ye are yet carnal:
for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions,
are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Hebrews
Chapter 5 Verses 12–14
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers,
ye have need that one teach you again
which be the first principles of the oracles of God;
and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For every one that useth milk
is unskilful in the word of righteousness:
for he is a babe.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,
even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews
Chapter 6 Verse 1
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,
let us go on unto perfection;
not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works,
and of faith toward God,
1 Timothy
Chapter 4 Verses 7–8
But refuse profane and old wives’ fables,
and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little:
but godliness is profitable unto all things,
having promise of the life that now is,
and of that which is to come.
Ephesians
Chapter 4 Verses 13–16
Till we all come in the unity of the faith,
and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things,
which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that which every joint supplieth,
according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,
maketh increase of the body
unto the edifying of itself in love.
