(2026.1.05 聖靈的安慰)

願意吃乾糧、被乾糧餵養的人,能在神所預定的時間裡被建立而長大;他能明白,神既是憐憫慈愛的神,也是公義審判的主;能遠避淫行,不作惡事,更能在信仰中成為願意接受試煉、經得起操練並能得勝的人;因他願意順服,有主同在,便能得著力量,行在義路上;

信仰是在操練中逐漸成長的;人能從軟弱變為剛強,從不堅固的信心,在不斷的操練與順服中,被建立成真實而剛強的信心;能不因環境的變化而動搖,達到堅固的信心,並能持守到底,走在通往天國的道路上,成為真正的信徒;

在信仰的生活中,常常親近神,多多認識神,順服神對我們一生的安排,並在我們身上所要成就的旨意;在神的旨意中敬虔度日,尊主為大,並依靠神的力量,使自己堅定地走在通往永生的道路上;

在神的同在中,成為剛強壯膽的人,使自己成為能背起自己十字架的基督徒,活出基督的生命,成為聖潔榮美的;深深省察自己的心思與行為,是否仍有不符合神公義標準之處;聖徒的生命與世人不同,世人的生命是從生進入死亡,從母腹中出生,開始今生的生命,而後走向肉體死亡的結局;然而,聖徒的生命卻是從死進入生;

所以,不要害怕今生所要承受的操練,信仰在操練中成長,能活出真正的價值;要與主同死同埋葬,與主同生同復活;基督徒的生命若不捨己,不經過操練,沒有將自己的罪性與基督同釘在十字架上,如同一粒麥子落在土裡,仍舊是一粒,生命停留在原處,仍以自我為中心,自己作自己的主,不願放下舊我,就無法活出新的生命,也無法進入神所要賜給我們真正豐盛之地;

然而,若順服跟從主耶穌的帶領,放下自我,對付罪惡,治死身上的舊我,拋棄對世界的貪戀,捨棄對物質界的價值觀,生命才能得著真正的自由,成為真實、活潑且有力量的生命,能結出許多義果;並且因生命的改變,能在地上為主發光,榮耀主的名,為主作見證,影響更多的生命,使人同得益處;所以,經上所說:若死了,就能結出許多子粒;

The Path of Self-Denial: Dying and Living with Christ — From One Grain of Wheat to Bearing Many Seeds, a Transformation from the Old Self to New Life

(2026.1.05 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)

Those who are willing to eat solid food and be nourished by it will be built up and grow at the time God has appointed. They come to understand that God is not only merciful and loving, but also righteous and just as a Judge. They learn to stay far away from sexual immorality and evil deeds, and in their faith they become people who are willing to accept testing, endure discipline, and overcome. Because they choose obedience and walk with the Lord, they receive strength and are able to walk on the path of righteousness.

Faith grows gradually through training and practice. A person can move from weakness to strength, and from shaky faith to a faith that is real and strong, built up through continual practice and obedience. Such faith is not shaken by changing circumstances, but becomes firm and enduring, able to persevere to the end, walking on the road that leads to the kingdom of heaven and becoming a true believer.

In daily faith, we are to draw near to God, know Him more deeply, and submit to His arrangements for our whole life and to the purpose He intends to accomplish in us. Within God’s will, we are to live godly lives, honor the Lord as supreme, and rely on His strength so that we can stand firm and walk steadily on the path that leads to eternal life.

In God’s presence, we are shaped into courageous and strong people, becoming Christians who are able to carry their own cross, live out the life of Christ, and grow into a holy and beautiful life. We must deeply examine our thoughts and actions to see whether there is still anything that does not meet God’s standard of righteousness. The life of the saints is different from the life of the world. The world’s life moves from birth toward death—born from the mother’s womb, beginning this earthly life, and eventually ending in physical death. But the life of the saints moves from death into life.

Therefore, do not be afraid of the training and discipline you must go through in this life. Faith grows through training, and through it we learn to live out true value. We are called to die with the Lord, be buried with Him, and live and be raised with Him. If a Christian is unwilling to deny self, unwilling to go through training, and does not crucify sinful nature with Christ, then he is like a grain of wheat that falls into the ground but remains just one grain. His life stays where it is, still centered on self, making himself his own master, unwilling to let go of the old self. In that condition, he cannot live out new life or enter into the true abundance God desires to give.

But if one obeys and follows the leading of the Lord Jesus, lays down self, deals with sin, puts to death the old self, abandons love for the world, and lets go of worldly values, then life can experience true freedom. Such a life becomes genuine, alive, and powerful, able to bear much righteous fruit. Through this transformed life, one can shine for the Lord on earth, glorify His name, bear witness for Him, and influence many others so that they too may benefit. This is why Scripture says: if it dies, it bears many seeds.

Those who belong to the Lord must rely on Him at all times. With the Lord’s presence comes strength; with strength comes the ability to endure storms and overcome every difficulty. We bravely carry our own cross and walk the path of obedience to God. Even if there are moments of weakness, because we are on the right path and rely on the help of the Holy Spirit, our lives continue to be renewed in Christ, living out a new way of life. For those who become new creations in the Lord will have joy and abundant grace following them, forever.

Scripture

John

Chapter 12 Verses 24–25

“Verily, verily, I say unto you,

Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone:

but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

He that loveth his life shall lose it;

and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Romans

Chapter 6 Verses 3–9

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ

were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:

that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father,

even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death,

we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him,

that the body of sin might be destroyed,

that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ,

we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more;

death hath no more dominion over him.”

Galatians

Chapter 2 Verse 20

“I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:

and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
